I am drawn to the way life disrupts our sense of what we perceive as normal, how it places us in unfamiliar or uncertain situations. I paint fish in unusual circumstances, in bags and bottle, precariously balancing on top of stacked stones or flying free through the clouds. My way of learning to embrace the unexpected.
