Quartz crystals are so beautiful and I believe hold a calming, healing energy. When I graduated from college I had many odd jobs. I was substitute teaching sporadically, working in a restaurant, pet sitting, but my favorite came from an ad I saw on a bookstore community bulletin board looking for an art tutor ...sounded perfect! I arrived at this beautiful home in Chestnut Hill. It was unlike any home I've ever been in before. There was real art on the walls and bookcases  filled with books from floor to ceiling and sculptures and beautiful rug, and interesting exotic smells, but the thing that really stood out to me were the quartz crystals.  They were everywhere. Hanging in windows, sitting on surfaces, collected in little bowls. I had  never seen anything like that before either. I was curious and asked the mother of the young girl I was tutoring about them and she told me about all the special properties of having quartz around you.  I've had quartz crystals everywhere I lived ever since.
