Up With People
 
Do you remember them?  They performed uplifting songs of positivity and diversity back in the 1970's and 80's. They came to my hometown when I was in grade school and performed at the CYC. They also did a workshop at the dance studio I belonged to… I was over the moon crazy about them. I wanted to be an Up With People dancer. I guess I was kind of a nerd back then. It wasn't until junior high that I became cool (hahahaha!!)
 
This fish is Polly. I imaging Polly in her colorful unitard and perfect braids, singing and dancing in the Up With People chorus. Lucky Polly.
 
Did you know that Up With People performed in five Super Bowl halftime shows between 1976 and 1986
