For me, the perfect day is going to a museum and lingering in front of masterpieces that I have only seen in art books. I also love looking at people looking at art. There's something about their posture, the way they fold their arms and tip their head. I can only imagine what's going through their thoughts. One of my favorite paintings, as you may imagine, is Matisse's Goldfish painting. It has always been one of my favorites, long before I even thought about painting fish. I love the colorful whimsy and playfulness of that painting. Unfortunately it's hung in the Pushkin Museum...so my only chance of seeing it is if it travels...or I travel to Russia! ... maybe someday.
