How did I get here?
 
I ask myself that sometimes when I think about my Lyme journey and how it has influenced my art.
 
There was a time when that question…"How did I get here?" had a whole different meaning, when my brain was always in a fog…Lyme brain.
 
It was one of my first symptoms as a teen and one of the most confusing. I would feel like I was in a dream-like state, and later described it as feeling drunk…all the time.
 
I would lose track of time and place. Very scary. I would find myself asking…"How did I get here?"
 
Today, although I mostly have a handle on it, it is still one of my most confusing…and
annoying symptoms.
