Hot tea is how I start my day and end my day. It's my ritual. I have a whole cabinet in my kitchen dedicated to tea. I've got loose tea in beautiful canisters, herbal tea, medicinal tea, tea in fancy little triangular pouches, tea that a friend brought back for me from Japan and then there's some plain old Lipton tea. My favorite tea at the moment is ginger green tea. Drinking tea is a time to pause, plan my day or reflect on the events of the day, but, if I'm being honest, it mostly represents procrastination. When I have a big project and I can't get started or I'm feeling overwhelmed... I make tea. This could happen many times throughout the day. If my sister calls and I say I'm making tea.. she yells "get back to work"... she knows me all too well.
