I have always been drawn to weathered surfaces…old furniture with layers of paint…rusty metal…worn tapestries.
 
I find that working with oil and cold wax allows me to create the textures that I love so much. The application of layers…adding and subtracting color…leaving remnants of past mark making behind creates a feeling of history and the passage of time.
 
My work is textural …touching is encouraged!
